How to administer this site:

Step 1 - Logon:

Step 2 - Add a result: Stage 1 - Update Fixtures Table

  • On the Fixtures page (default.aspx) click Edit next to the required record.
  • Enter the final score without bonus points in format "6-5" for example without quotes.
  • Click update to accept the change.

Step 2 - Add a result: Stage 2 - Update Score Card

  • On the Fixtures page (default.aspx) click link in results column for game you want to enter scorecard for.
  • The score card will open. Click edit next to the required entry, a new data entry form will open.
  • The data entry form guides you as to what information can be entered. You now cannot enter Tons scored against the gallon.
  • In the singles there are two boxes for the finish - one for each leg played.
  • Enter the required information and click Save. TIP: For any blank entries enter  choose zero for the values.
  • Repeat above steps of edit change and update till all entries are updated for the scorecard.

Step 2 - Add a result: Stage 3 - Update Statistics

  • Click the statistics link in the footer of the score card table.
  • This will open the statistics page.
  • Click the update statistics button to re-calculate the statistics from all the results.
  • Note that the statistics are only counted for the match game and NOT the gallon or the captains and secretary games.
  • When complete click the Fixtures Link to go back to the root page.

Step 3 - Log Off

  • On the fixtures page click the 'Log Off' Button to log off.
  • This will take you out of administration mode and allow you to browse normally.

Extra Tasks - Add a new player

  • On the statistics page there is the ability to add a new player to the page.
  • This will only create the name and statistics will have to be enter after they are added in the normal way.
  • You MUST be logged on to complete this task.

Extra Tasks - Adding Opponents Info

  • From the fixtures page click opponents info link. In Administration mode there is a new opponents data entry form at the bottom of the sheet.
  • You enter a name and a contact otherwise the record will not be added.
  • The map link can be got by copying the string from the top of a search in streetmap.co.uk and searching for the postcode.

Archiving a Season

  • This tool now supports archiving of a season.
  • Logon in the admin role.
  • From the bottom of the page choose the task of archive a season.
  • Click start task.
  • The page will refresh with an extra control panel visible.
  • In this control panel enter the name for the season you are archiving, a folder name without and spaces or random characters and lastly the name of the new season to be created.
  • All the information for the current season will become read only so make sure that you have all the scorecards in and the statistics up to date.
  • A new season will then be created, the players names and opponents names will be preserved.

Adding a Fixture

  • Note fixtures MUST be entered in the correct date order.
  • Logon in the admin role.
  • From the bottom of the page choose the task of add a fixture.
  • Click start task.
  • The page will refresh with an extra control panel visible.
  • Enter the date in DD/MM/YYYY format, choose the location from the drop down list and the opponents from the drop down list.
  • If the opponent is not there they must be added in the opponents page whilst in administration mode.
  • The name for the file is where the score card will be stored. Use something along the lines of abbreviation for the opponent name, h or a for the location and the number of times you have met them this season eg. Fox and Hounds Away would be:
  • fhA1
  • This will then create a scorecard for this ficture and add it to the fixture list.
  • Note any errors will be displayed on the page and the entry will NOT be created.
